Signed on to G Nutz over a decade ago, developed a good EE trading score. Now with this 'for my security' password change this erased my good standing with the EE. This has happened to many long standing members of GN, definitely not well thought through by the powers that be!
 
A password change cannot do that..

So far from what I've been reading any issue that isn't normal has been getting fixed if people follow the tech support process. Submit a ticket.

Most people having issues are caused by those people themselves, not having access to their old email accounts and not updating their information for years.

Now the mods have to worry about potentially hundreds of people claiming they're someone they're not. I personally saw 2 accounts come online having a single letter added to an existing members and they were posing as the other person in the same thread.

Apparently if you pay for a team membership they can recover your old account?

why couldn’t they “lock you” but allow you to still login in and be able update your email address.

For me it was an old email address. So the link was never received. And I cannot update my email.

What would stop a scammer from putting in their own email address.

Your wording is terrible.
No a password change didn’t cause this. You created a new account cause YOU were to incompetent to keep your account up to date.

But blame CGN everyone else is already too.
 
Actually you know what. PAY FOR A MEMBERSHIP if you’re that upset about loosing an account on soemthign you love so much. Why not support them !
 
The down stream BS that this move incurs to long standing members.
If your contact info in you account profile was correct then there should have been zero issues.

So far all the issues regarding the password change have been due to users who have not maintained their user profile and made sure contact info was correct.

That's 0% the fault of CGN admin. and 100% the fault of the CGN site user.
