So I've got a fancy 1911 9mm, got a super exotic 9mm "competition" gun, and got a nice .357 revolver. Thinking of rounding out the collection with something in 9mm that I can fit with a red dot and customize a bit. What are my options? Any recommendations?

Sig P320Rx comes with a factory Sig Romeo 1 optic. (Factory Red Dots often come with co-witness suppressor height iron sites)
Drop in an Apex trigger kit and away you go... I have one and like it very much.

Walther also now has a PPQ match combo that comes with their Shield red dot, or the Q5 with adaptor plates.
CZ Shadow 2 optic ready, (although I've heard about issues with the optic plates).
For a bargain, check out the Canik TP9 sfx
Then there's the Glock MOS

You can also get dovetail red dot adapter plates for many handguns from places like Springer Precision.
More and more red dots coming out. I'm moving all my pistols to red dot and selling the iron site only ones....

Shadow 2 optics ready is a proven performer. The Walther Q5 steel frame is another one to check out depending on what you want to spend. I've been eyeballing the Walther ever since handling it at Shot Show this past year.

I have Sigs and a shadow 2 OR. The shadow 2 is a tack driver with a deltapoint pro on it. That would be my choice (and it was). The dpp has a better window and clear glass. Either r way you can't go wrong.

Glock MOS models are excellent, and come with common adapter plates for all your standard pistol-mounted optics (Deltapoint, RMR, Vortex Viper, Vortex Venom, etc). I bought a Gen 5 G34 MOS FS and put an Aimpoint ACRO on it, and couldn't be happier.

I love my Q5 Match. It comes with all of the adapter plates to mount pretty much any optic. It's a very accurate shooter. The Q4 Tac just came to Canada, if you're into more of a tactical look. I have one on order.

I've had a Sig 226RX that came with the Romeo 1 and suppressor height iron sights for about a year now. I've used it a couple of times in production optic matches and for some steel shoots. Quite happy with it so far.
