Perhaps some of you have heard, in which case do chime in with any more additional info you may have. I just learned this from a Camera Land e-mail that Leica and Minox have expanded their range of equipment to include riflescopes.
I have some lower-end Minox binos and am very impressed with the optical quality for the price I paid. The Minox 'scope that Camera Land is offering is rather more and out of my price range, at least for now, but I would expect the optical quality is very good. It says they are assembled in the U.S. and the glass is Schott from Germany.
The Leicas, being Leicas, are considerably more money, and I suppose their quality will by typically Leica-ish, too.
Camera Land is a site sponsor and has good prices and good service for Canadian customers for binos, spotting scopes, and cameras, but unfortunately U.S. export regs on riflescopes make it not worth their while to sell these to us. Hopefully a Canadian dealer will find it is worth bringing them in.
