NEW POF-USA Tombstone 9mm Lever Gun

That looks fun. 870 stock compatibility is interesting too, can't wait to see some fluorescent orange ones floating around. It would be neat for them to expand into other calibres

If the mags are proprietary that could be a great setup for many many uses. If they are compatible with their handguns then we'd have neutered ones, so hopefully it's good to go.

The magazines fit their phoenix 'sub gun' pistol, so we're looking at 10rnd pistol magazines at best I'd imagine. No 20 or 30rnd ones for us.

Damn.

Dumb for the USA market, but would give us full 30 rnd magazines.

You're not wrong, as the law stands today it would be legal but I'm willing to bet it wont go that way.

First up Turdhole and Poly will wet their panties at the mere mention of 30 round mags so a quick OIC later and that wont be an issue any more.

Secondly there are some LE folks out there who aren't as up to speed with firearms legislation as you might imagine so despite them being legal (and assuming they stay that way) they will (wrongly) assume they must be prohibited and will lay charges. The charges wont go anywhere (assuming you have a decent lawyer who knows the law) but it will be a royal PITA and expensive to boot.

I say all this as someone who had a conversation with LE regarding this, the guy was adamant that 5 rounds was the max allowed for rifle magazines. He had never heard of AICS mags (no doubt pistol mags would have muddied the waters some more had I mentioned them). Wasnt aware that manually operated actions (like the lever being discussed) were not governed by the 5 round limit that is law for semis.

I would dearly love 30 round magazines (40 would be better still) but by this point it feels like things are only getting more draconian, not less.

You can buy 30rd Glock pistol magazines in Canada?

So are our gun laws??

Some people don't want to buy a lot of mags or stop to load all the time.

Idk about you but I enjoy driving, not filling the tank.

You're contradicting yourself - Everyone in the world already tons of Glock mags, why would you want to buy proprietary mags for a new blaster?

No, where did I say you could buy 30 round (unpinned) Glock magazines in Canada?

The mags being referred to throughout are / would have to be proprietary.

Your response to lonewolf when he said it would give us full 30rd magazines. >> You're not wrong, as the law stands today it would be legal but I'm willing to bet it wont go that way.
If you can have 30rd POF mags, why not Glock?

Glock magazines are designed for a pistol which by law is limited to 10rnds(the magazine, not the rifle).
These POF magazines, if they were only designed for this rifle, would under no such restrictions. Like the BCL Bison 20rnd magazines, their capacity wouldn't be limited.
A regulation simply doesn't exist to limited their capacity.
So we have 20rnd BCL magazines but not 20rnd AR15 magazines.

But as I mentioned earlier, after looking them up, the magazine is originally designed for a POF 'pistol'(it's a subgun but marketed as a stockless pistol) - so at best it'll be limited to 10rnds. Due to it being designed, like the glock magazine, for a pistol.

pretty neat but expensive for what it is
I wonder if they would make one in 7.62x25?
That would be a fun little blaster!

This ^^^^

The difference is magazines that can only be used in manually operated actions (ie proprietary) as opposed to magazines that can be used in semi autos too.

And, yes, it is stupid but this is the law as it stands.
