New pony is kicking at the door to get out and stretch out, (I think the door is still blocked with snow ) here is my new F/TR gun for 2013, now if the nut behind the trigger can dope the wind at the Connaught Rifle Range in Ottawa that would be great.

Barnard S action
Krieger barrel 30 in. 5R 11.25 to 1, 308 cal.
Dolphin stock
Jewell trigger
Star Shooter Bipod
Nightforce 12x42 BR scope
comes in at 17 lbs 15 ozs
Smith.... Ian Robertson of Ottawa

I would also like to thank Peter at HIRCH PRECISION INC., Fred and Tessa at STAR SHOOTER BIPODS, JERRY at MYSTIC PRECISION along with Ian at VX SYSTEMS LTD.

Hope to see everyone on the ranges again this year..... if this snow ever goes....... Cheers Bill

Looks great Bill, and if Ian built it then you're probably safe to assume it's going to shoot :) . Aren't you worried that you'll get kicked out of the Mouse Club though?

SHes a beauty, will shot like a dream I have similar on a Barnard stock and 26" barrel and it out shoots me everytime !!! Peter is a great guy !

La Passe that .308 will rock you to much shooting those 185 gr with a full case of Varget.and you will develop a flinch.and the mouse gunners will just pass you bye.
Your scores of 75 14v at 300y and 75 with 13 v at 600y will be tough to repeat with that mule kicking .308 LOL
Hope you did not sell that Super deuce that you shot so well with last year
Sure looks good. very nice build,
manitou

very very nice rifle bill i can see there still competition between mouse club and the real big boys i think this time youre gonna start making money rather than loosing it now that youre on the good side of the fence lol
im sure its a tack driver cant go wrong with 185btlr and varget
cheers

Thanks guys
My plan is to still use the mouse gun at the shorter ranges....300 to 600 yds and the 308 at 800 to 900 yds. It is hard to fault the 223 at the shorter ranges. I have some 185 bergers loaded with varget to try but will look at heavier bergers as well.

Cheers Bill

Geez Bill- Two rifles, maybe you need a third for midrange- you know, 700m has it's own set of challenges. Of course, three rifles would absolutely demand a caddy.... In uniform, complete with pom-poms!!!!
