The basics of installation are the same as the SKS KwikRail:

1. Remove rear sight.
2. Remove rear pin
3. attach rail at the rear sight base with split pin provided
4. Run the KwikPin supplied in the kit to hold the rail to the rear receiver cover

The only difference is that the rear pin can be removed without modification (IIRC a spring detent holds it in place) being necessary so the rifle can be returned to its original configuration.

Reliable ejection can be an issue with placing a rail on this rifle so we recommend keeping scope rings/bases as clear of the ejection area as possible.

We also recommend installation of the included strip of velcro near the back of the built in shell deflector in order to protect the rail from damage from ejecting cases.

How is the gen 2 version coming along??

Shouldn't be long now as I have sold down a lot of inventory lately and am almost ready to go forward with both a new CZ rail and a new SKS rail.

I have to do a little more testing to be absolutely sure everything works as hoped and then production can start.

The FL (full length) rails are still a viable option, and will be priced lower than our new T series (Tactical) rails, but the T series will offer some other possibilities to shooters. I suspect it will be a very exciting development for all concerned.

I tackled this years ago. I conceptualized a carrying handle as part of the design. The carrying handle gives lots of room for ejection.

One prototype was built by another guy during that conversation.

Current status is as follows:
1. working on a fix for the CSA rifles which includes an extractor mod to make ejection more reliable. Gen1 rails appear to be causing very few ejection issues in non CSA rifles they have been tried in.
2. I have had drawings for a gen2 design for about a year and prototypes for nearly that long. The patent has been applied for and will apply to any rifle, so we can make a similar rail for the SKS for example. Production of the gen2 rail has been pushed back due to the necessity of getting the SKS mag adaptor projectfinished by the end of July.

I hope we can have the gen3 rails available for the fall. I am considering adding extra features and making them a premium grade rail with serial numbers, improved hardware and other features.
