Isn't this more akin to an M38 with the lack of folding bayonet? Weird name for it, but looks interesting - a heavily re-worked 91/30 from the hex receiver and appearance of the bolt, but I could certainly be mistaken.

The magazine is refurb surplus but the front sight is unique. The stock is definitely M44. You can see the bayo groove on the upper right side. It looks like sling escutcheons are missing. I'm going to take a guess that the barrel is new and everything else is refurb. Very nice!

So, this is how much a newly (re)manufactured Mosin would cost (are you still complaining about $400 Mosins, lol?).. Looks really nice except for that banner on the receiver. I wish they could come up with a less ugly import mark. I would buy if I hadn't had my M91/59 already.

You are correct . It looks more like M38, but this is the "name description" that we got from manufacture (you can see it ingraved on the rifle ). Personally, I would call it a New production Mosin Nagant. It has futures of both M38 and M44.

--Can you get the new manufactured svt 40's?
Nope, sorry.
Way harder to produce, and the price tag would be out of this word.
