So its a start.
Remington 700 SPS in 243 youth. Really bought just for the action.
Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16 glass.
I got the McMillian A-5 in dessert yesterday.
Krieger barrel in 243 8 twist varmint contour on order.
Badger bottom metal mag system on order.
Will look at trigger, bolt knob, recoil lug, pillars, bedding, blueprinting once barrel is spun.

Haven't done anything with it other that slide the stock on it. Shot it a few times. Using 85 gr SGK as I will be hunting deer and coyotes with it.

Looks kinda silly with the thin sporter barrel on it.

I just got an SPS Varmint in .308 and will be looking to replace the stock. Where did you pick up your A-5 and how much did you pay for it?

Ebay.

Make sure its inletted for a remmy short action. You will be looking at 700+ for this model. If you want one without the adj cheekpiece it could be less.

how'd you get yours to shoot so well? Wish mine shot that well.

Not to worry thou. I have a spare barrel in my locker and may turn it into another 6BR with a fast twist or posssibly order a 22 barrel and make a 22BR.

I thought the same thing when I bought it. Donor action.....

I think I fluked out with the first 100 yard group. I dunno. I haven't shot it too much because the weather has been so miserable. Hopefully I shoot at some deer with it starting Monday.
