We have been working for the past year with Arizon Digital to redo our site. Our platform is still Bigcommerce and our payment systems are the same. The Gift card system is not affected. We are moving from an old legacy custom template to a newer custom layout to take advantage of many newer features both on the backend, frontend and other areas. The site uses a filtering system instead of the category system we use now. Many of the categories will become filters and you can toggle various filters as needed to expand or narrow what you see. You can search all, then use filters to further narrow results or just use the filters as is.
The search engine will now use AND searches instead of OR searches.
This means if you search for "Talley Low Remington"
Then all of 3 of these search terms will be somewhere in each product that is returned as part of the search results. This may be a Title, Description or Keywords we added. No more search results that only contain part of what you searched for.
We will now show shipping options for Canada Post, Purolator & GLS. (GLS can handle all products but only ships to certain areas). We have the capability to add more shippers in the future. Various shipping options will show depending on the product types in your cart and what is allowed to be shipped via what courier and what is available in your area. You may see a combined price if you have items that must go via different shipping methods. In that case, your items will ship in separate boxes via the approved shipper.
Depending on whether carrier options are available for your shipping address, ammo, powder and primers will be available to purchase directly on our website without having to call us for a shipping quote.
There are many other improvements and changes meant to enhance the user experience as well. Be sure to explore the site and keep in mind that you may uncover a bug or something that needs fixing. Please let us know of your experience and if there is anything we can improve upon.
