Today my son reloaded his very first batch of ammo from scratch for his Remington 7x57. He primed the cases after cleaning the primer pockets. The scale was set up and each round was carefully measured out to 44 grains of H4350. Then he seated 150 grain Winchester Power Points, after he finished we went to the range. Our target was set up at 100 yards and the fun started. We set up an over ripe frozen tomato at 100 yards and he seeded the forest behind the backstop with tomato seeds.
His best group measured 3/8ths of an inch, he felt real good that his home made ammo was as good or better than any store bought stuff.
I have a feeling that I will be buying even more powder and componenets than ever before...
