New rem 700 P changes

I just got a new remington 700 P and it looks different than my old 700 P . The stock is different, no cut out on the stock where the bolt comes out, trigger is silver ,not black and a host of other differences,looks cheaper. When did these changes take place?

just got mine from wolverine, the trigger is black not silver. no changes bro!

The new M700P's come with a new trigger....I forgot what its called, but its better than the old ones..its a set/adjustable from several ounces to 1.5 lbs...kinda like a jewled trigger in the REM700 stock rifle.

The new trigger is the x-mark pro trigger, it is definately lighter than the stock 700 trigger.

By the way the 700P has not changed as i have recently purchased one as well. All black.

I have a 700P and can't imagine the trigger getting any better. Being as how it is fully adjustable for weight, sear engagement and overtravel, it just needs to be set up properly. IMHO super light triggers don't belong in the field, 3# is plenty light enough for accurate shooting.

I've had the pleasure of working with a couple new Rem 700s and the new trigger is a step forward. Comparing it to a jewel is a like comparing a Honda (good quality but practical and limited) to a Ferrari (built by people that have one goal in mind) I think the new 700 triggers set down better and break nicer then the old ones but they are what they are. If anyone here hasn't tried a jewel and gets a chance, definitely try one, you'll be spoiled. I agree, for the field, the new 700 trigger is definitely better then the old one.

^You also can't compare something that's essentially free (Remington didn't raise the price on the rifle), to a $300 aftermarket trigger.

The X-Mark Pro trigger has a clean break, and the trigger weight from the factory is lighter than the old trigger. It's pretty much good to go from the box.
