New Remington 2020 ''Scope"

Wow that is some ugly bit of kit. I don't know if the advantages would outweigh ( pun intended) the effect it would have on the handling and portability of the rifle.

I'm not even sure what to think about that. Looks like a video game lol..

Edit: However, that is pretty awesome.. although it does remove a lot of the game out of the game...

Interesting concept for sure. Interesting that it's only good to 750 yards considering all of the factors it calculates. I'd say there are loads of $1,500 optics that would do just as well to 750 yards but I'm sure it's only the beginning of what technology has in store for hunters. Here a more detailed look at it h ttp://www.outdoorlife.com/blogs/gun-shots/2013/10/first-look-remington-2020-digital-optics-system

Super cool technology, however unless you have some kind of disability, to me it would ruin the game factor - pride of the good shot etc.. I can see the appeal though, there are definintely some people who would totally rejoice to use it for game - but to me the best application for this would be target maybe, or correct me on this - law enforcement/military use?

The military has a cooler version....lol Not my cup of tea either and I'm sure until the price drops considerably sales will be limited but you know some people will be all over them.

Lame. full-value lame. I find this Trackingpoint BS offensive. I can make the rifle shoot plenty well enough and have enough discipline to keep my finger off the trigger until I can make a good shot. I don't need a scope to nanny me in the field.

The last thing you want in a police or military situation is a scope that can decide it knows what you want to do better than you do. I wouldn't carry something like that into harms way. EVER.
