We just received a new shipment of Remington 870 shotguns to make our 'Shortys' from. These ones are a bit nicer to start with than the regular units we get as supply is getting difficult to find in bulk. The barrels have either a silver or white bead instead of the usual brass bead and seem a bit better finished making us think they have revised their manufacturing process (?)
As well, the stock sets are made from solid blocks of hardwood and not the cheaper laminate from our previous batches. We thought it was solid walnut at first but the raw colour is wrong so maybe Hickory or ...? (no info on Remington's website unfortunately.)
