New rifle inbound!

Just ordered a Tikka T3 Varmint stainless in .308

Will eventually mount into an MDT HS3 and throw a either a Falcon 5.5-25x50 or a 10-50x60 on it!

Pics to come.
 
Oh, I know there is better glass out there. The falcon is something to use for the next year, when I've got more of a savings built up. Then it'll go on my 10-22 lol.

After the falcon, I'll probably pick up a Sightron or another PST.

I used a number of Falcons ( the old Menace 4.5-18x56 was relly not bad ) but the Sightron Siii is an exceptional scope for the money and that would be a perfect accompaniment to the Tikka.
 
Congrats on the new rifle. Its a great choice. Not so much with the scope. I wouldn't put a falcon on my 22lr.

Buy a used bushnell tac 10x40 fixed.
 
The bushy 10x is a good starter scope and I actually just sold mine to a fellow member. I feel (as do some others) that the reticle is a touch thick for true precision. I would however recommend any bushnell. They may not be crazy high-end but they sure are a great value. I have a 3.5-21 ers on my custom rig and think it is pretty good. The lrhs line is supposed to be pretty good too.

Great rifle though. Way better choice than starting with a remmy (like I did...).
