Just announced today the SR 556. Some specs and such are on their website.

Looks like they're suggesting around 2000 USD for it. Wonder when we'll get them up here.

$1,800 they told me at the convention, so I'm guessing in reality once Obama-panic dies down it will be more like $1,400.

As gas piston ARs go it did look pretty good to me, although definitely not as good as say an H&K 416, the gas system was more fiddly.

The rep actually volunteered that information, he said he was pretty sure they would be available in Canada but he suspected towards the end of the year. I think that may have been speculation though, not sure if he actually knew.

It's a restricted AR-15. No speculation there.

The lower is the firearm in the eyes of the law and it is a standard AR lower.
