New Ruger Gunsite Scout coming in early 2015

Synthetic stock and almost 1lb lighter and it looks like a muzzle brake vs flash hider. Looks like a nice little rifle.

IRUNGUNS had some stock on these about a week ago. Thought about grabbing one but having owned 16" barrelled centerfires in the past I'll gladly
hold out for the 18" model.

16.1" is too short IMO. BOOOOOOM. Toss in a muzzle break and that is going to be one loud gun.

Interesting concept but I think I'd be inclined to cut a Ruger American at both ends and use the savings for optics.

Can you unscrew the muzzle brake - if not, then I'm not interested buying it or interested in shooting along side anyone who has it. Of all the features I would like to see on a new version of the Ruger scout rifle, that wasn't it.

Never mind, I just saw you can order it with the flash hider instead and longer barrel, I'm interested again.

Replace the muzzle break with a linear comp and I would be interested. Been thinking of putting one on the American ranch but holding out till they can come out with some more available hunting calibres
