'New' Ruger LC Carbine 5.7 X 28mm

Fingers crossed for a NR 18.6" BBL version.

That was my first thought when I saw this cool little gun.

Then I saw the folding stock and thought that we were hooped; and extra 2 inches of barrel would not get the length to NR status if folded.

But then, going to Ruger's site, I spotted the "state compliant" version: fixed stock (adjustable for length) and 10-round mag. So all Ruger need do to get us a Canuckistani NR version is give us the slightly longer barrel...just like they did with the PCC. :)

I like.

They might have to modify the Fire Control Group. It is identical to the one in the Ruger 57 and is the serialized part (legally the firearm), akin to the P320. I could see the RCs doing something f&@#-y and declaring the firearm restricted due to that. But perhaps they'll go the way of other firearms that have both NR and R variants here. Hopefully anyway.
