Sako introduces a new TRG A1 this year at Shot.

Appears to take the some of the features of the TRG M10 and present them at more accessible price point (still not cheap though).

Looks like they may have finally brought the TRG22/42 into the modern day.

I wonder what the price will be.

I assume magazines will be approximately $9 Kajillion dollars or your first born child.

unusual bolt handle -- retained with a torx screw?

The torx driver in the bolt knob is to unscrew the short foregrip just forward of the magazine that holds a toolkit. On the M10 the tools are there to do the calibre conversion change outs. Since this is a fixed barrel not sure why special tools would be stored? Maybe a small cleaning kit can go there? I am not sure how much of an improvement this A1 is to the original TRG? Probably heavier with the extra metal of the chassis.

not the bolt ‘knob’ .... its the bolt ‘handle’ that appears to be affixed with a torx screw to the bolt body... thats what I was referring to. I dont consider this a suitably secure solution and wonder why they have done this - other than to save cost?

Maybe it's so you can change the position of the handle, or the entire handle to one with a different angle, length or knob?

Tried to look up the weight but was unsuccessful. Looks like it is in the 12 to 15 lb range. Still way to heavy.
