I won't own a rifle that's "too nice to hunt with", but then, hunting is why I like guns! I do realize those Anniversary Editions are a $1700.00 dollar gun. If you like, I suppose you could just take it to the range and shoot it, if it's already been fired. Or sell it and buy something you can really enjoy. If it were mine, I'd be hunting with it, at least from a treestand in good weather! You can always buy a composite stock and save the wood one. I know that treating it the way I would do would destroy a lot (not all, but a lot) of the collector value. But I wouldn't care. If you care, pass it on to a collector and find a new love.
