New Savage Mark II BTVS

I just thought I could share this with my fellow GunNutz as there are many new shooters always asking which inexpensive gun to buy is! Well maybe this can help. Shot today with little or no wind using Blazer shells at 50m!!! I have installed a Caldwell Bipod and Vortex Crossfire 6-24x50 scope and I milled a new oversized bolt knob! The big holes are from my new to me Remington 1100 slug gun also shot from 50m using 2 3/4 1600 fps 1 oz slugs!!

I have a BTVS also. Can't say a bad thing about it. Wish the mags were larger. 10 rounds isn't enough. I have three 10 rounders and can go through them quickly on a gopher infested acreage. However my WMR only holds 7 so the 10 rounds is abit better, but not as good compared to a ruger 25 round mag.

I agree with you little_airwolf and I too have a 22wmr that is as we speak being upgraded to the same or similar stock as the BTVS
