Working on a new chassis design likely going to make it out of polymer or wood.

Maybe aluminium eventually, but that will be decided later on.

I modeled the barreled action of my MK2 and will CNC the chassis in a clamshell design.

Here is a rendering, what do you guys think?

Pardon the photo of the screen, no simple way to transfer due to only being on 4g currently.

Other than the butt stock it has similar lines to the mdt lss 22. If it handles like the mdt im sure you will like it. I love mine
If i had a concern it would be cheekweld. For me where it starts to drop at the comb seems like where your cheek should go.
Other than that its looks pretty good

It looks good, if you decide to build a bedding block center portion out of aluminum the CNC milling will probably not make sense with the cost of the rifle, plastic with some inserts would though.

I drafted up my 788 action and looked at getting bedding blocks cut, but it was cost prohibitive unless you order huge quantity, and then you have to try and sell them to everybody to get some money back.

I am working on an adjustable cheek riser, it seemed easier than trying to guess what would be comfortable.

Looks slick.

Interested in how you integrate the adjustable cheek riser. By the way, is the length of pull adjustable as well? The only part I find iffy is the pistol grip, the edges looks like it can use a larger radius for comfort. The thumb hole area also looks like it can use more clearance. Also, do you have plans to integrate some sort of bipod mount? Perhaps a M-lok rail on the bottom or something?

Super excited about your project, keep us posted.

Length of pull will be adjustable with replaceable spacers

I will be profiling the grip with a sander once made, again rather than milling right off the bat. That way I will have a better idea of a real grip so I can modify the drawings accordingly.

I will likely mill in Mlok (or screw a rail section on) however I might make a matching profile custom bipod too.

An adjustable cheek rest would solve the issue and look fitting
Itll look better than what im scraping together for my home built chassis. I just need to get metal files and a chunk of aluminium to finish mine. I dont have the tools or skill to do anything as fancy. Im altering an old bear devastator crossbow
Best of luck

Cool.. What did you use to cut it out with? Great for a working prototype, I don't think you need it pointed out that the wooden trigger guard is not a great solution but it is just a prototype and unnecessary.

I have a boyds Evolution on a MK II .22 and it is one of the best fitting stocks known to me. It differs from yours a fair bit, but if you have a chance try one of those out, it differs in format as a target style and yours has lines more like a lightweight pack rifle with tactical-ish lines as well.
