After a bit of thought, I decided I need a new gopher rifle. Whip on down to Wholesale and after a bit of humming and hawing, I put the down payment on a Savage 93R17-BV.
None in Lethbridge, so I have to wait for Calgary to send one down.
Man, I can't wait to get out with this thing  .

A pic from Savage for those who don't know what they look like.

That's going to be prime. Wish I got that model instead of the 93R17-FV... the synthetic stock is pretty weak compared to that one you'll have.

You should have made the drive instead. At least you would have it in one day instead of 3 weeks. Gorgeous rifle, btw. I keep looking at the Mk. II-BTVS with lust in my eyes.:D Russell's has them in stock for $369.99 (I think it was).

Hour and 45 mins from Leth :)

hot melt bottle caps to pop cycle sticks and stick them up 50 to 125 yds you will have a blast .

I use paintball's from Walmart. Hot glue 'em to a piece of cardboard. You know when you have a hit! Just don't use them in the hot sun. For some reason, hot melt glue melts under heat. Who knew! .

I have a 93R & now a MarkII...... I LOVE them Frickken things........

I get 1 hole groups @ 50yrds with my MKII

I have no problem whatsoever hitting 1 1/4" plastic poker chips at 100yrds with my 93.....

I can't belive I can buy a rifle that accurate for under $300......

I picked up my Savage .17HMR a couple of weeks ago. It is the most fun I've had in a long time. I bought the thumbhole model. Great gun!! You will love shooting it. Can't wait for the gophers to come out.
