Headed to the woods this morning at first and I mean very first light. I could just see across the field but it was hard. I also see fresh tracks in the field as I made my way. Made it to my setup and placed to Fox pro and critter out and started with a very light Cotton Tail DST for 2 minutes. I let the mute run for 2 minutes. Turned on the same DST for another 2 minutes on volume 26 and I muted it. As I scanned the woods line I catch this female sneeking up the field edge in my direction. At 125 yards the 243 with the 58 Vmax with a New scope - Vortex 4x12x50 and new Medum Height rings dropped her in her tracks. The gun is working much better and will toss out the brass instead of hitting the scope and falling into the chamber again causing a jam up. (Old scope and rings did it everytime)
Here's a shot from behind the sitting point or tree, caller was to my left and the yote came out in front of that large pine to the right.
