The wife won't let me buy a new gun
but I have a 300 win mag, that i want to build up slowly. So she wont know the difference
First off optics.
The rifle can really shoot out of the box. (rem 700 sps).
But I only have a leup rifleman 3x9.
I find that I would like a little more X for thoose longer ranges 400 +
I have looked at target scopes, hunting scopes... and I am not sure what to buy.
I will still be using this rifle for hunting so I don't want anything really huge.
Just a quality optic that will help me with longer ranges.
I will eventually be putting on a new heavy barrel and a stock.
But for now i will be shooting as is.
