New scope fubar?

If groups are good scope is ok. All the way up restricts side adjustment. You may have already ####ed your scope but will have to readjust to find out. Your mount is probably not square to the bore. M305/14S etc seem to have this problem more often than other rifles. Shim your mount so when the reticle adjustment is centred the cross hairs are lined up with a bore sighter(an accessory for course sight alingment).

ill try readjusting the scope, going to need to order a bore sighter though, just wonder how i would of messed up my scope.

Thanks
If the adjustment was up against the vertical stop and you tried to crank the horizontal adjustment against resistance things could go "sideways" in the mechanism.

A scope can hold poi but not have reliable tracking... the scope would be considered pooched.

At short range, the distance your scope will move POI reduces... at 50yds, a 1/4 min click would only move 1/8 min on the paper.... so you would need double the value of adjustment to move the POI so many inches.

When a scope is completely topped out, the windage adjustment on many scopes can also reduce or stop working.

If you can, install using Burris sig zee rings with inserts and manually shim the scope so that your scope and POI are in closer agreement... THEN when you move the scope turret, you get a better reading on the mechanics of the scope.

Good luck.

Listen to Mystic/jerry, and get the burris zee rings with the offset insert kit.
looks like that scope is 1 inch tube with 50moa of adjustment, which aint really that much.

The offset kit for the 1 inch has i think, total of 30moa? adjustment, 1x5, 1x20, 1x10 insert sets.
If your scope aint broken then go with the zee rings.
