New Scope Suggestions

Hey All,

Fairly new to firearms, and brand new to CGN. I am looking to upgrade the scope on the Winchester model 70 my father has given me. What scope would you recommend as a "best bang for your buck"?
 
I think people are going to want to know caliber(rifle), what you want to do with it(rifle/scope), and how much you want to spend before offering suggestions.

I'll disagree...slightly. I'm more a fan of the 3.5-10x Leupold. But that's really sifting gnat turds out of pepper. And I tend to prefer less magnification than some guys. Plus they're on for $499 at Prophet River.

4-5 is plenty of magnification for deer and moose,out to 300,
I like the 14 power for doing load development and printing a few groups.
