New SCSA Taipan Evo - Any interest?

Big negative from me. The x looks way better. Maybe ask the Aussies to keep the x styling, all aluminum and add in an ar15 trigger system. I think having an ar15 trigger is what's lacking here. The factory trigger makes norinco look good and no one wants to pay $750 for a new trigger.

I’d second the above. I find the X more appealing.

If the Evo isn’t replacing the X, I’d just keep bringing in the X.

I love my Taipan X and would not replace it with a polymer lower over the aluminum one nor the buttstock. I grew up with FNs and Garands so weight is not a issue and I prefer the beefy solid stock.

I would probably take one in 7.62x39mm, 6mm ARC or 6.5 Grendel. I just bought a Taipan X last week and I don't mind the weight, the bolt release would be nice though.

Bump, this thread needs more attention. I've seen a few aussie articles about this, but not many video reviews are out. Hopefully some more will come out soon, this model has only been available for a month.
