9mm upper receiver assembly/Lone Wolf AR-Glock lowers

Any chance you have a RRA 9mm upper receiver assembly (no bolt or barrel) in stock? Any coming soon?

Whats the status of the Lone Wolf R&D AR-Glock lowers?

RRA doesn't sell such a thing... they only sell complete upper halves. To get what you're asking for you'd have to buy the various parts and assemble it yourself. We do have RRA 9mm barrels in stock right now... various other parts as well (RRA upper receiver, 9mm port door and 9mm case deflector).

The Lone Wolf R&D AR-Glock lowers are here and they are in the FRT. We've just been so busy that getting them configured and up on the website has been delayed. The lower can be purchased as is but there are a few issues when assembling them... not exactly as simple as a standard AR-15 lower... minor fitting and mods need to be done.

Do you have stripped RRA 9mm a4 uppers?

Sorry... I misread the post and thought you were asking for the upper with barrel but no Bolt Carrier.

Mark, are the issues enough that you don't recommend someone like myself installing an LPK? Would I be better off getting you to finish it there?

The assembly of the lower isn't bad... just a few minor issues we came across but not a big deal, especially for someone who has assembled AR lowers before.

What is a "bigger deal" is the bolt carrier... it needs to be modified to work with Glock magazines which are thinner in the lips than a standard 9mm Uzi/Colt/CProducts type AR 9mm magazine. This modification requires machining (or grinding away) a portion of the carrier so that the carrier fits between the lips of the Glock magazine. If you have access to a mill then it's quite easy. If you are doing it by hand then patience, care and a dremel tool will work quite well.

If you don't follow directions... if you're impatient... if you're sloppy then you ruin the carrier and it costs you some money having to buy a new 9mm Bolt Carrier (worst case).

It's really not that difficult.

So when I get the lower as a Christmas present to myself, I can just send you the bolt carrier for my 7" RRA upper for the required machining?

:)


I'm also thinking a dedicated lower for my Tactical Solutions 22cal upper would be nice, along with the folding stock...

But I can't go overboard right now, I have other, more important priorities. ;)

I doubt it... they have to be ordered in quantity and there just doesn't seem to be enough customers looking to purchase premium price lowers to make it worthwhile... we need to order 50 at a time to be worthwhile and keep costs down... just not that many inquiries for these.
