Just got back into the shooting game after 20 years away from it while building my business. Bought two new 1911's and took the IPSC course in Cornwall recently, and have joined the EOHC. Looking forward to lots of shooting to make up for lost time. May also join the RA since I understand they do IPSC shooting there as well.

Back in the 70's, I was actively involved in fighting some of the atrocious gun legislation being proposed, as Secretary Treasurer of FARO (Firearms and Responsible Ownership). Even being years away from it, I still have a hot button that seems to be pushed more often these days by people like David Miller and the Liberals in general with all their political nonsense aimed at the urban masses.

Looking forward to perhaps meeting with some of you local guys interested in reloading as well. Stay safe and shoot straight
 
Welcome aboard. I too date back to the 70's and the trying times with ill informed politicians. Not much has changed unfortunately. On the plus side we as firearms owners are better organized now. Cheers!
 
welcone aboard! I started shooting early 80s. Just moved south of Ottawa after 18 years. I remember all the "reasonable" promises made by the lying lieberals back when the legislation was being discussed with us, and we all know what a politicans promise is worth now, of course. this is a great site and communications is so much faster- but so is the need for vigilance...

'Bout all did to help the cause in the '70's was get my license.
Started letter writing in the '80's.
Became more "politically" active in the 90's.
Now I'll talk the ear off anyone who'll listen, trying to educate them on how misguided gun control is.

I was born in the early 70's!!!! Welcome.....we've got a few things in common though...love guns.......dislike Liberals(and any other socialists)
