new shorty 10/22

went to the range today with a co-worker.
he made a ruger 10-22 build because he enjoyed mine.

here is mine.

i think his looks really good!

Boyde stock, Dlask 10" bull barrel, TI charging handle, TS mag release and bolt release and a Cabela's Pine Ridge Optic.
he painted the rings and mag release and charging handle himself.

we are going back to the range tomorrow, ill try to remember to stop on the way out and drop it on the scale.
they are light light guns.
my 9 yr old daughter has no problem shouldering it.

haha, im taking the pic, and it does look that way, but it was infact more infront of him, its the angle i had my phone at when i took the pic that makes it kinda funky.

my blue one, thats a Dlask 8.5" barrel with a custom compensator on it.... which i think is 3"

The Blue one comes in at 6lbs 8oz

for comparison sake, a stock(ish) ruger (with a Hogue stock) comes in at 5.5lbs

another stock one, this time stainless on a butler creek stock comes in at 6lbs 14oz

and a BRUTE costom with a long bull barrel comes in at 9.6lbs

Thank you very much!!!!! I'm looking for a really light 10/22, I hope a 8.5 dlask barrel and axiom stock would weight less.
However it looks like the blue one weights 6.5lbs with the scope, correct?

correct.

those Dlask barrels are heavy buggers.
they are solid metal.
if your looking for a feather light barrel look at the Tactical Solutions aluminum ones with the nickle liner.
i have/had one, they are like a feather.
