Had a buddy at a local store showing me a Ceasar Guerini (sp?) Seemed really nice, looked like a quality piece and fit really nice other than needing a small spacer added to the butt for length.
Does anyone here have any experience with these ? Are they any good? Any specific problems to watch for?
This one is in 12 ga. and is 30" in barrell length, I'd probably consider getting tubes for it in the near future if I buy it so I would have all Gauges.

I've never seen one on the ranges so that's why I ask..

I have experience with three of them in 12, 20 and 28 gauge. All are excellent guns with no problems at all. The wood is superior to what Beretta or Browning is using at the same price point and the fit and finish of the metalwork needs no apologies. In truth the metalwork is better than my Berettas.

The drop at the comb is a little less than that of a Beretta or Browning, and some people find that distracting. The stock finish is a little thin and could stand some filling of the pores and a couple of coats of Tru-Oil to be perfect. In the States they have a lifetime warranty, but I do not believe that is offered in Canada. Other than that I have no complaints at all and think they should give the "Queen B's" a run for their money.

There are several guys at our club who own them and have no complaints. I've shot them in various gauges and agree with Sharptail's assessment particularly the comb height and wood quality.

Hail Ceasar

The reason my buddy showed me one was because of my disappointment in the Browning. They had a Lightning model advertised with a gr. V/VI type stock, this is supposed to be there high end wood.

It looked like a plastic stock,,,, really didn't like it,, I have a 1950 Superposed lightning that if i sand it down and restain it , it would look nicer.
I want to re-tire dads old duck gun and get something new.
I've also been directed at the Cynergy, gotta check it out as well.

I've had my 20g sporting for two years now.
No problems, and it fits me like a glove.
My only complaint is there is no wrench for the choke tubes.
They are designed to not unscrew when tightened by hand,
and this is true. If you put a choke in after shooting several rounds
with a hot barrel, and put it in a cool gun safe in your basement the
barrel contracts and you can't get the chokes out. A wrench from
Carlson fixes this, I recommend getting one with the gun.

I shoot a much "higher" gun than most ... and of the 4 Caesar's I'm familiar with ( a 28, a 20, a 12 "Field" and a 12 Sporter -34") all have enough comb
height - and at 14-1/2" to 14-3/4" LOP, are long enough to fit most. Fit and finish is exceptional in a gun in this price range, and I've heard no complaints from the few that I know that do own them. ( Now if they'd only produce some nice SxS doubles at the same price point ! )

Most Beretta o/u's fit me well and shoot like a dream. I've shot only one CG and fell in love immediately. If I ever buy another O/U it most likely will be a CG.
