New Shotgun

I picked up a Marine Magnum last weekend, tried it out today. I really like it! Did some shooting both with target loads and slugs.

This is my first shotgun, actually this is my first firearm!

One question, should I be cleaning it after every use?

some say yes, some no. Do what you feel is right. what does the manual say?

the barrel doesn't need to be cleaned after every use,but there's certainly no harm in doing so. the outside and the the action should be kept as clean as possible especially if you've been out in rain , snow etc. a gun can't be too clean.

I pimped it out a bit and still my favorite shotgun

If you go blast off a box of shells on a weekend, just push a lightly oiled swab down the barrel and call it good. If you are shooting 10-15 boxes EVERY weekend, you need to do a more serious cleaning.
