OK, I will be the first to admit I am fairly new to pistol shooting and do not have an overly accurate shot. That being said will all of my other pistols and revolvers I make consistent 6"-7" groupings at the 25 yard range. I recently picked up a Sig Sauer 1911-22 and have tried and tried but can't make a consistent anything. In fact even landing one hit on a 12" square target is rare from a 10 round magazine. I let me wife try (better shot than me) and I let another guy at the range yesterday try. Again the holes are all over the place, I would estimate a 24" grouping is what we are getting.

Before approaching the place where I purchased it from, is there something I should be look at in the way of "is something wrong with the gun itself?"

Ammo being used is bulk federal, it works the best in my S&W 22a.

I'm guessing you stripped it down, cleaned and oiled it already. Make sure the screw that holds the barrel in place has a bit of blue loctite on it, and tighten it just so it's snug...do not over tighten!! If it works loose when shooting then your barrel will be moving and your shots wondering.

Use diffrent ammo. The GSG/Sig 1911-22 performs best with cci stingers or minimags (the tactical 375 count box is the cheapest way to get minimags). If it still has accuracy issues call blueline and see if they have any recommendations (could be a wonky barrel bushing)

Sights suck on the GSG... you might want to upgrade... and use Stingers...

I can probably hit a soup can at 25yrds offhand if I really try(I suck at HG's but enjoy them:)) with my Sig 1911-22 with cheap Win555's 3/10 attempts.
Could be the ammo but I found when I had a Ruger MKiii I had more success at that distance.
I hope you get your Sig sorted out.

On my GSG the sights are plastic and held in place with a set screw. I noticed that if the set screw is to tight, the plastic sight actually lifts up out of the dove tale slot.

Do standard 1911 sights fit the GSG? Where did you get yours from?

The barrel on these are threaded and they have a thread protector on the end of the barrel, make sure that thread protector is not obstructing the bore.

As a Sig owner I find it takes quite a while to get used to the trigger. They tend to have a relatively long break so you need to be very smooth with trigger pull. I initially sprayed my shots quite a bit with my 226 but once I got used to the trigger I get pretty tight groupings.

I have one and find mine works best with Win DYNA-points 40gr Wall-mart bulk ####.three inch groups 25 yds no problem.May be site issue. There nice little 1911 trainer.
