Better off buying a Tikka and making it look like anything you want and it’ll be more accurate…
I like mine so far in 308, I already have 4 308's and compete with one so I decided to keep my stuff the same..
Let us know how you like itMine should be here next week. Really looking forward to getting it out to the range
I agree.I picked up the 308 version not long ago from a retailer. Was well under half the $4k mark. Why would the 300WM be double? I don't understand the $4k price tag.
Same!I'm hoping they come out with a 223 version
I had that issue with my 6.5 CM Sig Cross. Annoying when shooting from a bench as you could definitely get some flex in it. My .308 has been rock solid, but that said I rarely fold it. The mechanism is definitely different and much easier to use on the Cross Magnum. Not sure if it's backwards compatible with the 6.5CM/.308. I'll take a peek in a minute. For anyone that has the new magnum version, any chance you can post some close up pictures of the newer style folding mechanism?
I've got an original model .308 and the folding hinge has gotten loose over time, it's got enough play in it now that it's quite noticeable and I will likley switch out the mechanism at some point in the future if MD Charlton can source the part.
I sent MD Charlton some video clips last year at their request showing them the amount of play and was subsequently told that they considered it an acceptable amount of slop....It was easy enough to see the amount of play in the video but to be fair to them it feels a lot worse in use then looking at the video.
Thanks Man I appreciate the info!Looking at it closely, the hinge itself appears to be interchangeable. For that matter, the entire butt stock is the same on both.
