Hey guys, so I just got my new stock in for my SKS, its an ATI Dragunov style. I was able to get mostly everything in place, but am having major issues getting the trigger assembly to lock in. No matter how much pressure i put down on it, it never completely locks. Is this common with these stocks?

How would I go about fixing this?

Thanks

Where did you find an ATI Dragunov style stock for ur SKS?
Everywhere I look they are sold out.

Anyways, I had the same problem when I installed my SKS into a tapco aftermarket stock.
On mine... I had to file down some of the material that stuck out inside the stock to make it fit..
Hope that helps.

I had this problem aswell with the ati dragonov style stock on my sks. I used a dremel to remove a bit of material so the trigger group would fit. Took a little bit of patience but it worked. Take your time removing material and test fit after a couple passes with the dremel. Oh and on a side note. I wasn't able to use the spring that came in the original stock that put pressure on the trigger group.

Hope this helps!

I agree with cc89 and derrickk and Dime,
The flat area of the stock where the
rear of the trigger group makes contact
is to high, not allowing the trigger group
to lock in. File or grind down the flat area
on the stock a little at a time until the
trigger group locks in. The safety must be
on when removing/installing the trigger group.

I got it through Trade Ex.

Ok, i think I see where it needs to be filed down. The safety is on. It was only when i tried to take it off safety and the switch wouldnt fully unlock that i knew i had a problem lol.

Thanks guys!
