New Starline brass has brown smudges and green oxidiation

Looking at my brand new Starline brass alot of the pieces have these brown smudges and specks. Some of those have areas where the brown smudges are intense and some small spots of green oxidiation are showing, even on brass from freshly opened packages of 100. I just cleaned it all with a 50/50 water/vinegar mix to get rid of the green oxidation, but I think alot of the brown smudges remain. Has anyone experienced this with new Starline brass?

See quite a bit and they have always look bright and shiney.

Odds are they got wet at your dealer before it got shipped to you.

Was there an anti-corrosion inhibitor inside the bag?

Mine have always been shipped with a pack of desiccant inside the plastic bag.

I have gotten Starlin brass through a few different people and it's always bright and shiny.

likely just some acid left over from a pickle or polish. Maybe they are so busy.

FWIW I just received 1000 brass from starline today and it's pretty shiny.

It's quite shiney, but alot of the brass has these smudges and in some cases green oxidiation. CanAm is probably right.
