It would Be useful for if your couch was invaded ;)

Great job man. Looks sweet!!! How much did it cost to do that?

Looks Great!

What kind of paint did you use?

I used Krylon flat metal Paint I took the rifle apart Scotch brited the whole rifle then cleaned it off with Brake Clean. Pre heated it with a heat gun placed it standing on a lazy Susan with a chop stick in the end of the barrel to Rotate it I primered it first then heat gun , then a full coat of drab heating and drying 15 mins between the 8 coats I put on then I did the Coyote and heat gun dried 15 mins and that was 8 coats. I then placed it in the oven That I had preheated to 350 and had shut it off and when it was around 100 degree's I placed the metal parts NO SCOPE in till it had reached room temp , then a mat clear over the whole rifle assembled . According to Krylon after 7 days its scratch and chip resistant. Cost $35.00 and time

It looks good, but it's hard to fully appreciate your efforts with the rifle sitting on the couch.
Color contrast!!! Maybe take the gun outside for some more pics.

Just curious, if you went through all that trouble heating/baking why not use Gun-Kote,Cerra-Coat,Arma-Coat, or Dura-Coat???? All those coatings are far superior to Krylon...........Looks good though.... ;)

I guess $35 cost is the biggest reason And I can fix the Finish anytime I want lol

A can of Gun-kote/Cerra-Coat isn't much more...........and you can do several firearms per can.

I Gun-Koted my TAC-21 in Gray OD and have more then enough left over for touch ups if needed.....not that you really need to touch up these coatings....... ;)

I have painted many, many firearms with Krylon and there is no comparison in durability between Krylon and the the other specialty gun coatings.......

I'm interested to see how that holds up when you get it on the range, keep us posted. I've had bad experience with Krylon chipping and even flaking off in some instances. Eitherway looks great, thanks for sharing!
