When I picked up my Tavor, I had set aside some extra for a new trigger, as the stock trigger on all the examples I had tried before were just awful. -Like when you're trying to pull the trigger, the trigger is actively pushing back.

So when mine came in, I was surprised to find the trigger pull was... pleasant? WHAT?

So I popped it out.

It's definitely an IWI trigger with the polymer housing, but the return spring has been relocated! It's no longer an afterthought hooked onto the trigger bar interface, which is what made it so heavy, but seems to be integrated into a new design! It's not the greatest trigger, but I feel no need to replace it.

Anyone know anything about these? It looks completely unlike any other trigger pack I've seen.

Looks like a Gen 2.5 - extra return spring removed.
Lighter pull weight.
It won't be long until you get curious about an aftermarket trigger pack. If you want to save money, don't shoot a Tavor with a Tav-d.

I don't think it is, there is no place for that "second" return spring to go. The trigger bar interface has no recess for the spring, and there's a sear in the spot the spring would be. Ive been searching for photos and haven't seen any trigger packs that look like this one.

I have had 4 Tavors. One Gen 2 and three 2.5s. That is a 2.5 I assure you.

You misunderstood me. I meant IWI removed the return spring that used to be a part of the design.

They revised it in Gen 2.5.

Lemme see if this newb has it straight ....

I'll benefit more if I incorporate the Geissele Trigger Bow along with the TAV-D trigger group? Saw on the net that the G TB requires a 'barrel wrench' to install. Does that come with the Trigger Bow?

I do want to get the best out of my Tavor and fighting the stock trigger is not going to accomplish that.

The Trigger Bow is the single best upgrade you can do.
The original trigger is a two piece setup that remains mushy feeling no matter what hammer pack you upgrade to.
The Trigger Bow is a single unit cast design that gives it the crispness of a nice AR trigger.
It doesn't come with a barrel wrench, but you can fab one up from an a 3/8 or 5/16 Allen key in a few minutes.

I agree. If one is ordering the TAV D as well, also order the "TAV-TOOL" from Shooting Sight. It is a complete armours tool. I still need to order one.
