New stocks for a 629

ok, i've got a sweet little 629 with a 4.25 tube on her, but the grips on it are the original hogue fingergroove models. They feel great, but are very narrow and shooting full house loads they do not spread recoil at all. While it doesn't hurt, after about 2 cylinders your hand starts to go numb and get pins and needles. I've shot much hotter loads in a super blackhawk with no issue, so i'm thinking if i can find some meatier stocks to spread the force out a bit it would help. Any suggestions? Right now it feels like your holding the bare backstrap when you fire.

Try a set of Pachmeyer Presentation grips (they come in small and large for different hands) or treat you and your gun to a set of Herrett stocks, they build them to a tracing of your own hands, and the fit is very, very nice. Not cheap. - dan

+1 on the Herrett stocks. I have a set of the Roper ones on my K-38. The Jordan Trooper would be a good choice if you want something wider that covers the backstrap.
