New style (to me anyways) of Weaver ring.

I've never seen these before, thought some of you might find this interesting.

Got a pair. They're like Mangle Locks. Don't like them.

No flies on the original Weaver top mount QD rings. They hold a scope much better than Leupold's STD stuff and the low rings are almost as low as Leupold's super low rings.

They are windage adjustable. Probably unnecessary for commercially drilled and tapped rifles, but may be useful for those sporterized jobs that are drilled just a tad out of parallel.

I've got a similar set of windage adjustable rings for a poorly drilled .303. First rifle, only reason I still have it. Talley is the future of scope mounts.

so,...now Weaver is giving us four punched screw holes to dent our scope tubes,....if two dents per ring won't hold your scope, I'm sure four will.
Isn't it the side where the top hooks onto the base (not screw side) where those nasty dents occur?

Weavers improvement

Yup the new design is an improvement. The old style had that habit of doing a partial roll as you tightened the rings. Not so with the new design. Super Cub is bang on with where the old rings would mark or in some torquey cases dent the tube. I like EM.
