Presenting the Flagship of the Swiss Products Line... The New Type P/S (steel) Diopter.

This Diopter is calibrated to range from 75 yards to 1,000+ yards, is made of steel and is Eye Relief Adjustable. No rail changes are necessary. The Type P/S will accept both Anschutz and Gehmann Irises.

It will replace all of the Diopters in the Swiss Products line including the Type P, Type PII and the Type PIIC. The cost is a nominal $10 more than the original Type P and that is solely because the Euro has boosted the cost of the Anschutz Iris by that amount.

Sights are strictly for the K31 Rifle at the moment. The Swiss allowed the use of certain targets rifles sights for military compulsive shooting back in the early 1970s These shoots were at a standard distance of 300m on various targets. one is them is a slight variation of the ISSF( then UIT) 300m target with a 5 cm X ring and a 10 cm 10 ring, each next lower score ring is another 5cm further out. The original W&F sight max out out before 600 meters. The first models of the St.Marie/Swiss Products sight had the same limitation.

These new ones will enable them to be used out to 1000 yds. If someone wanted to get a relatively inexpensive starter's rifle for Target Rifle style competition or practice, this might be worth considering. Of course there is always the fun factor.

diopter, I assume they are graduated in mils and if so, it would be hard to attract a market used to MOA sights.

Regards,

Peter

With the sight radius using these sights on a K31, it works out so close to 1/4 m.o.a that the difference is inconsequential in the real world application.

Pity it's restricted to one type of rifle only: I have to screws on the side of my bolt carrier rail for the purpose of mounting a diopter sight, but I don't think it'd be compatible with this...

Neither, I have a Blaser R93, and I was looking for a diopter sight, and this one looked pretty solid. The rifle was designed to be ambidextrous, so the mounting holes are on either side (see red circles below).

Know any good lawyers? If I start machining any part of it, I can kiss a 10 yr warranty goodbye! They almost voided it when I had my scope mount shimmed to add a taper...

Not the rifle.
A side plate base that attaches to those two screw holes so as to hold the rod that goes from the sight to the base.
Would need to check what height clearance you would need above bolt and perhaps a longer connecting rod.

Then would have to figure out what height is needed for front sight.

You're getting the idea.
Question of dimensions needed and how much higher the sight would have to be to see if it's practical. You don't want to have to too much of a cheek pad, unless you have a stock with adjustable cheek piece.
