Short action only, .22-250, .243, .308 and .30 TC. They've used some good ideas. 3-lug bolt, drop-out mag (not everyone's fave) and integral scope bases. Pretty gutsy, bringing out a new bolt rifle in a competitive market. I'm guessing at a price comparable to the Rem CDL or Browning A-Bolt. They may try to keep the price low for the first year or two to get established in the marketplace. The prototype guns were reviewed in the gun mags around January.

I have to admit that looks VERY VERY enticing. If the reviews go good and its not another abolt I'd definately buy one. Kinda sorta almost reminds me of a tikka.

T/C says $800 US...should be about $800.00 or so in Canada. I reread the reviews today. They've adopted some interesting ideas. Chassis bedding, adjustable trigger, and they were hoping to make the production rifles CRF as opposed to the Sako-style extractors on the prototypes.

I need to get me a CRF to see what all the fuss is about.

They can't go to high with pricing. It will be between Tikka and Sako. So I say, around 1000 bucks or 1100 max. It will have problem with price tag of 1200 to sell, for that we can almost get Sako, which is established.

Dear Mr. Johnson,
The Icon is not scheduled to be released until Late fall and the retail price is $1,095.00.
Thank You and have a nice day. Dianne, Customer Service

thats what they sent me when in enquired into how much the rifle is going to cost.

anyone know any reviews that are out on it? I' really interested in this rifle but doooont wanna drop that much money if the rifle turns out to be a dud!

Lebaron has the T/C ICON in thier 07/08 fall/winter on-line supplement.
It's going for $1039.94 in .243, .308 and .30TC Looks like a really nice rifle especially the walnut stock.
It will be interesting to see how it does.

Another round?

The rifle looks ok, but another 30 caliber round is crazy. There are already so many 30s that it is hard to keep track of.

The cartridge will go over like a lead ballon. Hope the rifle survives the demise of the round.
