The major renovations we've been doing over the last few weeks to the shooting bays are finally done, featuring the new target retrieval systems from Action Target (no more swaying!), as well as much improved lighting downrange and over the shooting positions. Come check it out!

The pistol bay
Now at least twice as hard to shoot down!

+1 on target sports getting this.. The swaying targets is not the only pain in the ass, but it seems EVERY time I go, I have a target fall off while returning it to the shooting bench. The jostling from the machine pulls it off the pegs..

And I do love those lower benches with the chairs for rifles. I've often been tempted to actually lay on the floor at target sports to shoot my target .22 rifle (with bipod, of course), but fear I'll get laughed at, kicked out, or stepped on..
I also like that they provide the shooting rests and sand bags. I would CERTAINLY use them if they were at target sports.

I understand. However, this was a $100,000.00 capital investment at TSE. TSE has been operating for 9 years and it was time to step up and upgrade the place.

I have only had Target Sports for 2 years and had to invest almost $400,000.00 just to upgrade the facility to keep it OPEN as all of the previous owners neglected the facility terribly (yes Rob... you too ;) )

We have discussed this upgrade for Target but to be honest we are a few years away from doing it. Target first needs to make some monies to make the initial investment at least break even. Otherwise my wife will seriously maime me!

They do have them at Target Sports. Just ask for them.

What? seriously? Ask at the front desk for a sand bag or a shooting rest and they'll provide it?
Wonder if they'll give me a chair too..

Oh I figured it would be a while. To be honest, as far as I'm concerned, the facilities aren't that bad at Target Sports compared to others I've been to. I certainly appreciate the heightened security! I'm just glad to hear you guys at least have your eyes on upgrades.

They can get you a chair as well. Maybe you haven't seen the new rifle bench on range A.

What!? Seriously, I don't shoot for two months and all the sudden there's a rifle bench, and they provide sand bags, rests and chairs now! (or I guess they always did and I just didn't know)

What's up with the new target system? Last few times there have found that they are marginal, but last weekend 2 of 6 were out of service in one bay. I hope that the vendor is backing the product up with speedy repairs or replacement.

I agree... for a system on 3 months old, we already ran out of the spare parts we had.

At this time only one lane is down.

New parts should be here today! w:h:

I'm sure you are very unhappy with the outcome JR and hope that the company will come through with repairs and stand by you in the future.

See you Sunday

As much as I'd like to see a new target system @ TSC I don't think it's necessary at this time, as JR already said they need to see some return :p I'm sure that's going really well though, every weekend is booked.

I always shoot #2 Birdshot and the targets do fall off but I just bring some tape or ask for it and I have no problems at all.
