I believe Timney is issuing new springs for their brand new Tavor trigger packs. I'm surprised that this first batch of triggers is having so many problems.

This is actually v.3.0
Some received beveled pin holes and stiffer springs before leaving the factory but they still had light primer strikes.
I'm not a Tavor guy but I have run into quite a few of these threads recently.

Hmpffff.

Mine works like a charm, no problems at all. Boss Hogg sent me a spare spring just in case but I can't be bothered with it. The Timney is a good trigger. Boss Hogg is a good supplier. This is an extremely minor problem that I think is being blown out of proportion. If you have any problems the boys have stated over and over again that they will make it right. Worst case is you use the old trigger group until the new one gets sorted out. Mountains are being made of mole hills.

30% failure to fire with IMI M193 and M855 doesn't sound like mountains out of mole hills to me.

Look at the edit at the end of the article.

I was researching a trigger purchase for an AR when I ran across a lot of pretty wound up people on some forums south of the border.

There were 2 issues that raised their blood pressure.
1) the light primer strikes when the trigger was first released.
2) the release date being pushed back due to the Remington recall and the increased demand for Timney triggers for Remington 700 rifles.
It looks like their Tavor customers took a back seat so that Remington production could be ramped up.

I just picked up my timney today. I dont have anything but Federal 55gr .223 so I wont be able to really test this second batch trigger. I had TV-PressPass' for like 2.5 weeks with no problems to report for probably 150-200 rounds. However it did induce what I believe to have been an accidental double tap when I let my amarican friend try it out the other weekend. Either that or it did a burst.
