New Tikka CTR - is this normal?

Howdy,

Just got delivery of my brand new CTR in .223 today and the actions is smooth as expected from a Tikka. However, first thing I noticed was that my mag has a bit of a rattle to it, almost like it is not set in properly. Also, the action does kind of move a bit side to side when I have the bolt cocked back. Is this normal for a new Tikka or did I just get some bad luck in fit of my rifle?

Same thing on my ctr 308 brand new, take a flat screwdriver and push slightly the upper lip outwards slowly until it fits perfect with no movement.

Yup. Normal mag bulls.ht. i took a flat blade and stuck it in the magazine release flipper thing hole on the back of the mag, the side that is closest to the trigger guard. Pry it out a bit. Do it a little bit at a time, test fit each time...and it will fix the rattle issue.

Loading cartridges will also help against the rattle.
