Check out the Diana RWS 34. I think in .22 you will have all the power you need to 50 yds. and they are very accurate. Because they are a magnum springer, they can be made to shoot a lot smoother by getting a Jim Maccari tune kit when you are ready to do some upgrades.

For hunting at the ranges you are suggesting, you will probably want/need a good air gun rated scope. I didn't realize there were such things and thought any old .22 scope would do but a springer has a significant amount of recoil in the opposite direction that a lot of firearm scopes are designed for and will be eaten up in short order. A Leapers or a Hawke are two reasonably priced brands designed for this purpose.

I don't know what experience you have with springers but as you go up in power, they require more refined and consistent shooting technique which is something I was unaware of when I purchased my 34 last summer. It took a while to get my shooting technique to where I could take advantage of the gun's accuracy. When I added the tune kit, it really brought things together. For a real magnum experience, check out the RWS 350.
