New to AR's need some help

Hey guys. I just received my first AR yesterday from a vender here. Its a bushmaster ORC. http://bushmaster.com/firearms/XM-15.asp Now first thing that needs to go for me is the handguard. I want to install a Troy alpha 13" rail. Would I need to make any modifications to the gas block? It seems to be cut down already on this model so Im not sure if it needs to be replaced. Thanks!
 
The inside diameter of a Troy Alpha rail is 1.385"

If you want to install rails, you'll need a little bit more clearance as the connector bar takes up a little more room.

also make sure it does not touch the rail at all and has clearance enough to allow the barrel to vibrate freely, if in doubt get the tiny troy gas block, thats what i put under my noveske nsr11
