New to hunting and firearms

Hi all,

I am originally a Maritimer and used to hunt when I was many years younger with my uncles. I just started hunting again last season, and decided to get my firearms PAL (non-res & res), which I have received.

Looking to hunt waterfowl and elk/moose this coming season. I'm not sure what I want to take down larger game with and suggestions are welcome!

Currently, I'm looking for a pistol and was thinking of something in the CZ line-up, and perhaps will look to buy a used one first...

Anyway, look forward to joining the community and meeting new people as well as learning from other people's experience and experiences.

Hi all and thank you for the warm welcomes!!! Very kind of you all! I just went out trap shooting today and I shot my buddy's xtrema really well - great gun! I think I know what kind of shotgun to get.

Now, anyone got recommendations on caliber for elk/moose? I can imagine that there are a lot of different and great opinions here!
