Hello All,

I am new to hunting in Canada, and do not know know nearby crown-lands you all experience hunters hunt on. I used to hunt with cousin up in Greenstone, ON. 12 hours drive, sometimes too much. My dad has cottage around Timmins, ON and have no clue if there are nearby places that I should go to.
would appreciate your insight on small game and big game area places within reasonable distance.
Happy Hunting, you all stay safe and always hunt responsibly.

cheers

You should learn to use the Crown Land Use and Policy atlas as well as an up to date hunting catalog identifying where, what, when you can hunt in Ontario!

welcome to CGN
check out the Hunting subforum, lots of hunters here who can probably offer advice. https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/forums/hunting.99/
There is also a Mentoring section in the Hunting subforum where new hunters post to seek out those who are willing to assist.

welcome. Crown Atlas or iHunter will show you your crownland. Are you looking for possible places to hunt closer to home or is the cottage near timmins fairly close?
