Just purchased my first 54 Match today. Came with a factory bipod, original sites with a number of inserts. Only one little ding in the stock and one of the threaded holes in the barrel (scope mounting block?) is buggered but repairable, bolt serial number matches, bluing is good and no scratches. I'm going to mount a Weaver T36 as soon as I get some rings. I'm assuming this one is a 1975 vintage by the markings on the barrel. Can't wait to get this one to the range at 50 and 100 yds. I didn't forget the pics :D (not the best pics)

With the wing safety on the bolt, your suspicions of the vintage are probably correct. Nice rifle - it deserves to be fed some nice treats.

Went to the range today to try out shooting with the peep sights. Shot at 25 yds. and 100 yds. Ammo was SK Standard Plus, Rock BR front rest and a rear bag. I can see where using some expensive Eley would shrink these 25 yd. groups, still pleased with these results but always room for improvement.

I forgot to take some 50 and 100 yard targets with me but I found a target with 3 holes already in it so I tried blacking out the holes and set up at 100 yds. Took a bit bit to sight in and then shot this 35 shot group just to see what the results would be with the peeps.
